Wilma Whitehead

Rome, Indiana Wilma L. "Bobbie" Whitehead, 93, passed away November 12, 2017 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. She was born in Cannelton, Indiana on July 28, 1924 to the late Will and Jessie (May) Heck. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Donald Whitehead in 2015 and brothers, Billy, Claude and Arthur Heck. Bobbie was a 1942 graduate of Cannelton High School. She had worked at General Electric and as a teacher's aide with Perry Central Community Schools. She was a member of Rome United Methodist Church, where she valued her church family and community. Bobbie enjoyed quilting and gardening. Surviving are her children, Dona Whitehead, Louisville and Scott Whitehead (Angela Chapman), Rome; grandchildren, Claire, Isaac and Marie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. CST Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Sharon Summers will officiate. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00-7:00 P.M. and Wednesday 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rome United Methodist Church or Heart To Heart Hospice.
