Williams Williams

J.D. Williams, 90, passed away on April 1, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama on July 27, 1931 to Lawrence and Vernis (Wood) Williams. J.D. was a United States Army veteran. He was united in marriage on April 20, 1975 to Emma Lois Wetzel, who survives. J.D. enjoyed bowling, fishing, going to yard sales, antiques and buying and restoring old cars. Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Lois Williams, Tell City; children, Pastor Jeff Davis (Dennah), New Bern, NC, Damon Williams (Nova), Coudersport, PA and Theresa Hoffer, Elmhurst, IL; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Williams, Pell City, AL and Martha Dillard (John), Waynesville, OH and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, James Williams and Ernest Williams; sisters, Louise Ellis and Adean Darden and a brother, J.P. Williams. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM CDT on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastors Jeff Davis and Tim Hall will officiate. Private burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
