William V. ""Bill"" Unger, Jr., 80, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011, at Oakwood Health Campus . He was born on September 20, 1931, in Erie, Pennsylvania. His parents were the late William V. Unger, Sr. and Mary Jane (Polk) Unger. Also preceding him in death was his first wife, Peggy (St. Clair) Unger. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a welder from International Harvester. He was a member of American Legion Post #213 and enjoyed gardening, puzzles, gold fish ponds and small engine repair. Surviving are his wife, Marietta (Kunkler) Unger; daughters, Patricia Cianci, New Albany and Mary Elizabeth Howard, Louisville, KY; sons, William V. Unger III, Cynthiana, KY, Vincent Joseph Unger, Louisville, KY; step daughters, Polly Story, Tell City and Sally Devillez, Tell City; step son, Ricky Bolin, Tell City; brother, Vincent William Unger, Gerard, PA; four grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 1 one step great grandchild. There will be a memorial service at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until service time.
