William Pruitt

Tell City, Indiana William Edward ""Eddie"" Pruitt, 63, of Tell City, passed away Saturday, March 14, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. Eddie was born in Henderson, Kentucky on October 26, 1945, son of the late Thurman Pruitt and Marie Masterson Pruitt. He was also preceded in death by a sister Maxine Sabelhaus and a brother, David Pruitt. Eddie was united in marriage on January 5, 1973 in Rockport to the former Mary Jo James who survives. He worked for thirty years at Tell City Chair Company, then was employed for six years as an inspector at Masterbrand in Ferdinand, Indiana, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Jo One daughter, Tammy Presley, Tell City, Indiana One son, Chad Pruitt, Tell City, Indiana Four granddaughters, Lindsey and Haley Presley, Emily and Natalie Pruitt Three sisters, Charlotte Bennett, The Villages, Florida Carol Green, Largo, Florida Nancy Proctor, Owensboro, Kentucky Two brothers, Larry Pruitt, Owensboro, Kentucky Ray Pruitt, Owensboro, Kentucky Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CDT Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Timothy Sweeney OSB will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and 10:30 - 12:30 Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana where a parish prayer service will be held at 7:45PM Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church.
