Tell City, Indiana William H. ""Bill"" Davis, 81, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at his home. He was born October 5, 1929 in Perry County son of the late Albert and Margaret (George) Davis. Also preceding him death was a brother Jim Davis. Bill was united in marriage in Huntingburg on July 28, 1951 to the former Leta Faye Conner who survives. He was a 1947 graduate of Tell City High School. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea, worked at General Electric for 12 years and retired from Alcoa after 15 years. Bill was a member of V.F.W. #2939, American Legion #213, and Troy Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye Davis, Tell City, 4 daughters, Kay (Charlie) Bryant, Placentia, CA, Teri (Brad) Platts, Newburgh, Lisa (Rick) Newton, Tell City and Betty (David) Beasley, Dale, 3 grandchildren, Megan Younger, Aaron Newton and Lauren Frank. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery. Bro. Ray Howard will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Troy Christian Church or Perry County Animal Shelter.
