Tell City, Indiana Wilhelminia E. "Billie" (Ward) Rissler, 93, passed away on July 11, 2015. She was born in Leopold, July 6, 1922, daughter of the late William and Alma (Wichser) Ward. Also preceding her in death was her husband Kenneth Leo Rissler in 1971; sisters, Louise Hope and Ruth Faulkenberg and brother, Julius "Dude" Ward. A 1936 graduate of Oil Township High School, Billie was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella and Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She had worked at General Electric as an instructor and at Sears as a credit manager. Billie enjoyed gardening, needlework, animals and volunteer work, especially at Perry County Memorial Hospital, where she was also a companion care attendant. Billie will be remembered for her uplifting personality and as a person who cared deeply for her community. She is survived by her daughters Mary Ann Wheatley, Cannelton and Gail Rissler, Vienna, Virginia; step-son, William Kenneth Rissler, New Albany; grandson, Ken Wheatley and step grandchildren, Amanda Ring-Rissler , Cody Ring- Rissler and Jennifer Hauser and loving niece, Helen Tucker, English. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Walker Cemetery in Branchville. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. There will be a D of I memorial service at 6:30 PM on Monday.
