Wanda Flamion

Leopold, Indiana Wanda A. Flamion, 89, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at her home. She was born November 18, 1923 in Hancock County, Kentucky, daughter of the late William and Eva (Aldridge) Shearn. Also preceding her in death was her husband Russell Flamion in 2005, brothers, Parvin, Russell and Tom Shearn, and sister, Archie Howard. She was the owner of Flamion's General Store at Mt. Pleasant for 32 years. A member of Branchville United Methodist Church and Alton American Legion Auxiliary, Wanda enjoyed playing cards, sewing, dancing and riding her 4-wheeler. Wanda is survived by her three daughters; Sheila Allinger (Eddie), Mt. Pleasant, Sherry Knieriem (Jerome), Magnet and Vickie Flamion, Leopold ; sister, Lella Jo Hammack, Tell City; five grandchildren, Jason Allinger, Natalie Allinger Polk, Ryan Knieriem, Aaron Knieriem, and Kyle Knieriem; twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in German Ridge Cemetery near Oriole. Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Branchville United Methodist Church or German Ridge Cemetery.
