Victoria Batie

Tell City, Indiana Victoria Susan "Vickie" (Hayden) Batie, 61, passed away August 30, 2012 at her home surrounded by family and friends after a prolonged illness. She was born in Evansville January 12, 1951 daughter of the late James and Marie (Crisp) Hayden. Also preceding her in death was a daughter Julie Kathleen Batie. A 1969 graduate of Rex Mundi in Evansville, she was united in marriage to Steven Batie September 12, 1970. Steve and Vickie moved to Tell City, where she has spent the last 21 years working in accounts receivable. Vickie loved spending time with her family and friends, and had a natural flare for shopping and always enjoyed getting the in the last laugh. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Steven; daughter, Amy Batie, Tell City; son, Scot Batie, Mt. Juliet, TN; brother, Sid (Donna) Hayden, Kokomo; sister, Judith Minton (Allen), Hendersonville, TN; sister-in-law, Barbara Masterson (Jack), Tell City; grandchildren, Brittney Thomas, Kaitlyn Thomas, Wyatt Hays and Colt Batie; her beloved dog, Roscoe, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Vickie was dearly loved and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be at 1:30PM Sunday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mark's Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday and from 11:00 AM until service time Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
