Tell City, Indiana Victor L. Gengelbach, 83, of Tell City, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City. Victor was born in Spencer County, Indiana on September 20, 1924, son of the late Carl V. Gengelbach and Recina Goatley Gengelbach. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Clark Gengelbach and a sister, Greta Wittman. Vic was united in marriage in Tell City on March 17, 1945 to the former Rosanna Evrard, who survives. He was a patrolman with the Tell City Police Department for seven years until 1964, then later retired in 1985 as a quality assurance manager at Tell City Chair Company. Vic served in the United States Army and was member of the American Legion Post # 213 and St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting and reading. Mr. Gengelbach is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosanna Evrard Gengelbach Two sons and their wives, Joe and Shannon Gengelbach, Poseyville, Indiana Lee and Libby Gengelbach, Tell City, Indiana One sister, Evelyn Gengelbach, Tell City, Indiana Four grandchildren, Kim and Kevin Gengelbach Mike and his wife, Delores Gengelbach Mark and his wife, Chasidy Gengelbach Five great grandchildren, Brandon Baumgart, Haylee, Tyler, Keira and Kaden Gengelbach Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, October 29, 2007 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City with burial in St. Mary Cemetery where the American Legion will conduct military graveside rites. Rev. Timothy Sweeney O.S.B. will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 PM Sunday and from 8:00-9:30 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana, where a parish prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Memorial Hospital.
