Velma Pund

Leopold, Indiana - Velma "Lee" Pund, 80, passed away on December 25, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evanville. She was born in Tell City on May 5, 1935. Her parents were the late Claude and Hazel (Goffinet) Howe. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Bill Pund; a step granddaughter, Melissa Hill Wheatley and a son in law, Mason Foertsch. A member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Lee enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, fishing and family gatherings. Surviving is her daughter, Debra Foertsch, Lamar; sons, Roger Pund (Pam), Huntingburg and Rick Pund (Brenda), Tell City; sister, Imogene Bockhold, Leopold; brother, Denny Howe, Leopold and grandchildren, Vincent L. Peter, Cynthia Seibert, Eric Meunier, Angie Simpson, Danielle Elverd, Lindsey Pund and Michael Pund and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in St. Augustine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church or St. Augustine Cemetery.
