Tom Vanconey

Tobinsport, Indiana Tom VanConey, 61, passed away May 1, 2017 at his home in Tobinsport. He was born in Perry County on December 24, 1955 to the late William B. VanConey and Marjorie (Winkler) Ward, who survives. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny VanConey and half-brother, Billy VanConey. Tom enjoyed cutting grass, cleaning his house, playing euchre and being outdoors with his animals. Surviving are his wife, Jean VanConey, Tobinsport; children, Diana Rogers (Michael), Hawesville, Jimmy Applegate (Kristi),Tell City and Michele Ricketts (Wayne), Evansville; mother, Margie Ward ( Harold Malone), Cannelton; a sister, Donna "Sis" Howard, Hardinsburg, KY; grandchildren, Rashae "Angel" Martinez, Justin, Kelsey and Madison Rogers, Briley and Alivia Applegate and Finley Ricketts; one great grandchild, Brady Thomas Martinez. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 5, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Rev. Linda Simpson will officiate. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00-7:00 PM and Friday 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter.
