Tom Faught

Hawesville, Kentucky Thomas O. Faught, 89, (sometimes referred to as "Tom Cat"), passed away at the age of 89, on June 9, 2022, at his home, under hospice care. He was born in Evansville on January 31, 1933 and was raised by his loving grandparents, Joseph and Effie Gray. His mother Ruth (Gray) Faught passed away when he was a young child. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served active duty during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant. While on leave, he met his future wife, Jeanette Reichardt, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and after a few short dates, they married and resided in Chicago, Illinois. They raised five girls and three boys, Kathy Reilly, (deceased), Ruth Torrez (Darrell Martin), Evansville, Patty Faught (Wally Frankowski, deceased), Roach, Missouri, Jacolyn Fahse (Tim White), Evansville, Debbie Aichinger, Broadview, Illinois, Tommy Faught, Jr., Broadview, Illinois, Richard Faught (Sondra), Evansville and Daniel Faught (Diana), Brookfield, Illinois. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great -great grandchildren. Tom had many aunts and uncles who were more like his siblings, since his mother died when he was just 5 years old. He was also preceded in death by his father, Jack Faught. After working 35 years at Brach's Candy, as a candymaker, he moved back to his hometown of Hawesville, Kentucky. Tom will always be remembered as a loving husband and exceptional father. His life was his family and his love for them was unrelenting. Tom enjoyed fishing, reading, tinkering on most anything and watching westerns, never missing an episode of Gunsmoke. His immediate family is gathering for private services at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City (IN) with burial in Memory Gardens in Hawesville.
