Martina L. “Tina” Stoen, 68, passed away on January 15, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 19, 1955, in Wurzburg, Germany to Alfard and Lucile (Holman) Vinson.
Tina was a 1973 graduate of Perry Central High School. She was united in marriage at St. Paul Catholic Church on March 22, 1980 to Charles H. “Skip” Stoen, where they made memories together for 44 years.
She was a member of Blue Grass Church in Evansville.
Tina always had a positive impact on people as she liked to have fun, tell jokes, dance; she was a delight to be around. She was a UK Basketball fan, a Kentucky Colonel and loved her dogs, Shelby and Charlie. Tina enjoyed being outdoors, especially working in her flowers, working puzzles, playing bingo, traveling, visiting the cabin to fish, drinking TAB, participating in her small group Bible study and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, Skip Stoen, Evansville; her daughter, Crystal Stanley (Jeremy), Kokomo; grandchildren, Ava and Mason Stanley; siblings, John Vinson (Cathy), Prospect, KY, Steve Vinson (Margarete), Nicholasville, KY, Leeny Vinson-Hardesty, Lexington, KY, her twin brother, Marty Vinson (Carol), Tell City and LuAnn Davis (Jarrod), Wilmore, KY and several nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are Skip’s family, Tina’s beloved in-laws, that include, Larry Stoen (Tammy), Sandy Daugherty (John), Ted Stoen (Carmen) and Jim Stoen (Kendra) and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her in-laws, Roger and Margie (Rausch) Stoen.
The family would like to thank Tina’s sister-in-law, Sandy for being instrumental in her care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Ben Lovell will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Cannelton.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Grass Church, American Diabetes Association or St. Michael Cemetery.
