Tell City, Indiana
Tim Miller, 69, passed away unexpectedly, on February 6, 2025.
He was born on March 19, 1955, to the late Nathan and Bettyelu (Raaf) Miller.
Tim had worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1975-2009; taking pride in knowing every address in town. He was a member of the Perry County F.O.P. Auxiliary #137.
Tim was full of life and a selfless man. He was available at the drop of a hat to help not only his family but anyone that needed him. He was generous and very giving towards causes that were near and dear to his heart. Tim was especially fond of the Tell City Police Department and all their first responders who were always quick to respond to him and others in need.
Tim loved to watch television and visit the clearance aisle at Walmart every day, because you never know what you might find there and need one day. He would gladly share his clearance bargains with anyone he thought might need them. Tim enjoyed keeping up with the stock market and collecting cars, motorcycles or anything with wheels over the years.
His favorite thing to do was making people laugh, especially his grandkids that he adored. Tim loved and supported his kids, grandkids and family fiercely. “Papaw Tim” was a grandpa to everyone as he always welcomed his grandchildren’s friends and neighborhood kids with baskets full of snacks and a refrigerator full of drinks. Do not think the family fur babies were left out as they received just as much attention as the kids. Tim was the epitome of a family man.
Surviving is his wife, Karen (Lawalin) Miller; children, Brianne Lawalin (Derrick), Megan Matthews (Justin), Kaylie Fletcher (Alec) and Collin Miller; sister, Beth Bosler (Gary); brothers, Danny Miller (Rose), Stephen Miller (Laurie), Greg Miller (Karen) and Brad Miller (Connie); and his grandchildren, Ilynd, Baya and Cruz Lawalin, Eli Gray, Brecken and Ezra Matthews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tell City Police Department Youth Programs or Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
