Tillie Gebhard

Tell City, Indiana Tillie D. Gebhard, 94, of Tell City passed away Wednesday, May 09, 2012 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. Tillie was born near Millstone on June 19, 1917, daughter of the late Charles Daum and Clara O. McKinney Daum. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Oscar Gebhard in 1987, a brother, Allen Daum, sisters, Ruth and Verna Daum and Leona Briggeman. Tillie was a 1937 graduate of Cannelton High School. She became an employee of Lehman Company of America where she met her future husband, the late Oscar Gebhard. Together, along with their sons, they owned and operated A & G Motors in Tell City. Tillie was a member of Tell City Chapter of Eastern Star #272 and the First United Methodist Church, Tell City, where she was active in the Knits and Knots group. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, Gary Gebhard (Diane) and Keith Gebhard (Kathy) both of Tell City. There are eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Andy Payton will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 to 11:00 AM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Tell City.
