Thomas Kellems

Thomas I. "Tom" Kellems, 73, passed away April 26, 2021. He was born in Perry County, Indiana on March 25, 1948 to Charles and Sarah (Lawrence) Kellems. Tom was a United States Army veteran. He was united in marriage on October 17, 1970 to Marcia Haaff, who survives. Tom worked at the former Schwab Safe for 25 years and retired after 11 years from Indiana Department of Corrections. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Jazzy, collecting lighthouses, reading and watching the Waltons. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Marcia Kellems, Tell City; a daughter, Angela Simpson (Ruben Johnston), Cannelton; granddaughter, Maddie Simpson; brothers and sisters, Betty Underhill (Darrell), Bristow, Minnie Jane Newton, Indianapolis, Anna Mae Wyman (Doyle), Utah, Evelyn Newton and Patsy Swango, both of Indianapolis, Larry David Kellems, Tell City and Roy Kellems (Priscilla), Cloverport, KY and Michael Kellems, Evansville. Tom is preceded in death by parents; a son, Jason T. Kellems; sister, Alma Jean Jarvis and brothers, Richard, Glenward and Charles "Hobie" Kellems. Visitation will be held for friends and family on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Humane Society.
