Tell City, Indiana, Thelma Ruth Terry, 76, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Thelma was born July 20, 1935, daughter of the late Clyde Harper and Ruth Burns Harper. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd ""Jack"" Terry, Jr., a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Terry, a son, David A. Terry, brothers, Charles ""Bud"", Paul Wayne and Melvin Eugene Harper and a sister, Marjorie Nix. Thelma was employed for twenty-five years at Tell City Chair Company. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post # 2939, the American Legion Auxiliary Post #213 and the OAKS Senior Center. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, sewing, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends, especially her dog, Mickey. On January 26, 2001 she was united in marriage to Richard Dennis ""Tex"" Miller who survives. She was a member of Lilly Dale Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Richard ""Tex"" Miller, a daughter, Norma Agnew (Mark), Tell City, sons, Ralph Terry (Linda), Cannelton, Mark Terry (Shannon), Gatchel, Marvin ""Judd"" Terry, Gatchel, Franklin Terry, Gatchel, step-sons, Christopher Reneau (Rose), Fort Knox, Kentucky, Nicholas Reneau, Lynchburg, VA, sisters, Daisy James, Cannelton, Carolyn Carter, Cannelton, Nancy Bradshaw, Florida, Brenda Pohl, Derby, IN, Linda Simpson, Cannelton, Wanda Daley, Arizona, Rose Moore, Eckerty, IN, Betty Hawkins, Boonville, IN, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Murtha and Mary Mirabal, both of New York, brothers, Clyde ""Ed"" Harper, Tell City, Darrell Harper, Gatchel, Joseph Harper, Cannelton. There are eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana, with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Bro. Eddie Olberding will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 on Monday and 9:00 until 11:00 on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Dale Church or Cemetery.
