Thelma Howard

Tell City, Indiana Thelma Rae Howard, 97, of Tell City passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Golden Living Center. Thelma was born December 6, 1918 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Chester Jarboe and Maude P. (Limer) Jarboe. Thelma was also preceded in death by a sister in infancy, her husband, William Reid and second husband William M. Howard. Thelma retired from General Electric in 1981 after 30 years of employment. She was an active member of the First Church of Nazarene in Tell City. Thelma is survived by a daughter, Betty Sue (Don) Rhodes, Rev. William (Janice) Reid and Robert M. Howard, all of Tell City. There are nine grandchildren, John Kleeman (Shannon), Tony J. Kleeman, Jennifer S. DelRio (David), Kathleen Ferguson (Shane), Donnie M. Rhodes (Sarah), Lisa Beeler (Mike), Darrel R. Howard (Teresa), nine great grandchildren, Emily and Lucas Kleeman, Aaron, Penny and Grace Gehlhausen, Hannah and Kaitlyn Rhodes, David and Joseph DelRio and one great great granddaughter, Hadley Kleeman. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 22 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th St. Tell City with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Charles Areson will officiate. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00PM and from 9:00AM until service time on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Church of Nazarene.
