Terry Mulzer

Terry Ray Mulzer, 76, passed away on Saturday, January 30th, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis IN. He was a resident of Elwood, Indiana for 15 years and Tell City, Indiana for 20 years. Terry was born on November 20, 1944, in Lamar, Indiana to Raymond and Nelda Mulzer. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 brothers, Floyd, Hugo, Hilbert, and Omer Mulzer, and sister, Verlee (Mulzer) Weiss of Tell City and grandson, John Thomas Mulzer of Indianapolis. Terry is lovingly survived by his son, Jonathan (Jennifer) Mulzer and two grandsons, Owen and Oliver Mulzer, all from Indianapolis. Terry grew up in rural Lamar, where he helped his dad on the family farm. After high school graduation, Terry joined the Army where he served as a cook. He enjoyed making meals for the men in service and steaks for the officers. After his military service, he had a long career in mining and heavy construction all over the Midwest including regions in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Michigan. Terry was semi-retired from construction since 2010, however has continued to enjoy the camaraderie of construction. He continued to work on projects throughout the end of his life. Terry loved to be outdoors, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed telling his son how to garden, fix a proper drink and sharing stories of his life. Terry had so many happy memories of his grandparents and family living on the farm and cooking meals from scratch. He was endearing, genuine and such a good old soul who will truly be missed by loved ones. A celebration of Terry's life will be Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home from 12:00 - 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM with interment immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery where there will be military rites provided by American Legion Post #213. Rev. Steve Bennett will officiate.
