Steven Lewis

Magnet, Indiana Steven Ray Lewis, 52, passed away September 2, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born March 28, 1960 in New Albany son of the late Virgil Lewis Jr. and H. Jane (Wate) Losson. Also preceding him in death was a half- brother, Terry Lewis and step- father Patrick Losson. Steven was a 1976 graduate of Floyd High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a master wood worker and specialized in custom furniture and cabinetry. Steven is survived by his daughter Raechel Lewis, Magnet; brother, Thomas Lewis, London, KY; 2 sisters, Debra Highfill, Mt. Pleasant, IN and Vicki Lewis, Boppard, Germany; half-brothers, Jeffrey and Ronald Lewis, Floyd County, IN; half-sister, Jeanette Lewis, Magnet; 3 step-sisters, Kay List, Wyoming, Denise Humphry, Salem, IN and Judy Knighten, Weatherford, TX; step-brother, David Losson, Dallas, TX. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM CDT at the park in Magnet on Sunday, September 16, with a pitch in dinner to follow. VFW Post #6160 will conduct a military service. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Steven R. Lewis Memorial Fund at German American Bank to benefit his minor daughter.
