Steven Hendrick-Thomasson

Cannelton, Indiana - Steven W. Hendrick-Thomasson, 17, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident while driving to school, the first day of his senior year at Perry Central Junior-Senior High School. He was born in Leitchfield, Kentucky, on March 22, 1996. His father, Billy Hendrick, Jr, preceded him in death. His mother, Stacy Thomasson Knasel survives him. Also preceding him in death was his grandfather, Billy Hendrick, Sr. Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his 4-wheeler and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his adoptive grandparents , Ronald B. and Mary K. (Smith) Thomasson, Cannelton; his mother, Stacy Thomasson Knasel, Tell City; sisters, Alexus and Amity Knasel, Tell City; grandmother, Phyllis Hendrick, Cloverport, Kentucky; great grandmother, Marie Smith, Tobinsport; aunts, Debbie Baker and Tammy Duncan, both of Lewisport, Kentucky, Shawn Goffinet, Huffman Mill and Stacy Hendrick, Cloverport, Kentucky and uncles, Maurice Poehlein, Tobinsport and Justin Hendrick, Cloverport, Kentucky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Tell City, with burial in Millstone Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Red Cross or St. Paul Catholic Church.
