Stephen Fordyce

Stephen Fordyce, 26, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his home in Evansville. He was born May 5, 1985 in Minneapolis, Minnesota son of John David Fordyce and Barbara Gayle (Greenland) Fordyce Oost. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, John and Virginia Fordyce and grandfather Rex Greenland. A 2003 graduate of Tell City High School and was also a 2008 Ivy Tech graduate. Stephen worked as a technician for Nunning Heating and Air in Evansville. He enjoyed snowboarding, fishing and bicycling. Stephen is survived by his mother and step-father, Barbara and David Oost, Tell City; sisters, Kelly Fordyce, Evansville and Erin Fordyce, Indianapolis; grandparents, Rita and Walden Gruver, Grandview; a girlfriend, Brittany Medlyn, Evansville; step sisters, Melissa Dauby, Indianapolis and Amanda Carter, Tell City; step brother, Chad Oost, Evansville. Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Andy Payton will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
