Sheldon Hubert

Apalona, Indiana –

Sheldon E. Hubert, 90, passed away on May 13, 2024.

He was born in Branchville, son of Walter E. and Bertha E. (Harbaville) Hubert. Sheldon graduated from Oil Township High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He married Virginia L. Oser on June 20, 1959, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia.

Sheldon was a self-employed carpenter most of his life and enjoyed photography, beekeeping and singing karaoke.

His wife, Virginia Hubert survives him along with his children, Linda Koziatek (Karl), Jacqueline Sprinkle (Brian), Jeff Hubert (Bang-on), Jaime Hubert (Pom), Lisa Sprinkle (Kevin); sister, Violet Beard (Jerry); 21 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren (expecting 2 more) and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Hubert.

Sheldon was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Hubert and siblings, Marvin Hubert, Wilma Neyenhaus and Alice Neyenhaus.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City, with burial in Harbaville Cemetery near Apalona. Mike Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Harbaville Cemetery.
