Sharon Hearst

Tell City, Indiana Sharon L. (Garrett) Hearst, 76, passed away July 2, 2017 at her daughter's home in Boonville. She was born in Hatfield, Indiana on November 27, 1940 to the late Roy and Mary (Lanham) Garrett. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Donald Hearst. Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Luce Township Schools. She enjoyed working at local restaurants and retired in 2000 from Perry County News where she delivered papers. She was an avid coin collector and loved to crochet dish cloths and blankets to give away as gifts. Surviving is her daughter, Dawn Hearst (Scott Skelton), Boonville; granddaughter, Alyssa Skelton Camp (Andy), Boonville; a sister, Rose Johns (Charles), Rockport, IN; several nieces and nephews and her four legged grandkids, Dash and Bo. The family would like to say a special thanks to Deaconess Home Hospice, Dr. Glenn Sherman and Dee Schmitt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. John Hilbert will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter.
