Sarah Dowker

Santa Claus, Indiana - Sarah J. Dowker, 28, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2015, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born in Saulte Ste Marie, Ontario, June 6, 1986, daughter of Bruce and Julia (Hinton) Dowker. Sarah was a graduate student at University of Southern Indiana, studying to be an English Professor. Sarah was a member of MAE (Masters of Arts in English), was the USI editor and chief of Fishhook Literary Journal, was a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an English Honors Society. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh and enjoyed reading and spending time with her children. She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Julie Dowker, Santa Claus; children, Fallon, Jude and Leo; sister, Rachel Dowker, Santa Claus; brother, Nathan Dowker (Skye), Edmond, OK; fianc Adam Gomez, Evansville; grandparents, Ron and Dorothy Hinton, Gentryville. Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Jane Dowker. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville. Rev. T.J. Milam will officiate.Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at church.
