Tell City, Indiana - S. R. "Bud" Franchville, 68, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016, at his home. He was born on February 3, 1947, in Perry County, son of the late Julius and Vivian (King) Franchville. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Randy Franchville and Wayne Franchville. Bud married Linda Kern on July 22, 1967, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda. He worked at the former Dauby Motor Company and was a recipient of several General Motors sales awards. He was fondly known as "Frenchie" by his friends and clients, who appreciated his passion for cars. Later, Bud owned and operated Midway Auto Sales for twenty years. A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, yard work and car shows, but nothing meant more to him than his grandchildren, especially taking gator rides with them to the pond on their property. Surviving him are his wife of 48 years, Linda; his children, Aaron Franchville, Tell City and Kassy McIlrath (Rick), Greenwood; sisters, Patsy Casper, Ireland, Sue Schipp (Gary), Ferdinand, Carol Miller (Rick), Santa Claus and Millie Wigand (Rick), Jasper; brother, Larry Joe Franchville, Bandon and four grandchildren, Taya and Ally Franchville and Molly and Nolan McIlrath. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Monday, January 11, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
