Fulda, Indiana - Ruth M. Tanner, 92, was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Arthur Tanner, her parents, and her eleven siblings on December 10, 2017. She was born in Tell City, Indiana on August 30, 1925 to the late Larner Garrison and Anna (Kessens) Fuchs. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 17 years, Arthur Tanner; her sisters, Dorothy Tanner, Helen Doogs, Betty Jennings, and Evelyn Fuchs; and her brothers, James, Edgar, Kenneth, Richard, Robert, Albert, and Earl Fuchs. Ruth was a 1944 graduate of Troy High School. She had worked at General Electric and retired in 1984 from Fisher Chair Company. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and American Legion Post #213 Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening. Surviving is her son, David Tanner of Evanston; grandchildren, Shannon Tanner and husband, Thaddeus Scherer, Christine Tanner and Grant Tanner; and great-grandchildren, Alexander and Aiden Scherer. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. CST on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00-8:00 P.M. and Friday 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
