Ruth Loney

Tell City, Indiana Ruth Ann Loney, 77, passed away on September 11, 2021 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Tell City on April 1, 1944, daughter of the late Edward and Zaidee (Miller) Hendershot. Ruth Ann was a member of First Church of The Nazarene and was an avid Kentucky Wesleyan basketball fan. She enjoyed word search puzzles, her dogs, George and Susie and the Draggin' Main event in Tell City. Ruth Ann loved being with her nieces and nephews, as she became a second mother to them all. Surviving is her sister, Regina Walker, Tell City; nieces and nephews, Debbie Litherland (Don), Tell City, John Walker (Sandra), Hatfield, Joan Smith, Rockport and Scott Walker, Chrisney and many great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James "Ben" Loney in 2020; a brother Edwin Hendershot; and nephews, Tom Walker, Jr. and Larry Hendershot. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or the American Heart Association.
