Ruth Highman

Cannelton, Indiana Ruth G. Highman, 90, of Yukon, Oklahoma, formerly of Cannelton, passed away December 15, 2005 at Gran Grans Place in Yukon. Ruth was born October 27, 1915 in Harmon, Oklahoma to the late William and Mary Jane (Griffith) DeWeese. She is also preceded in death by her husband Delbert C. Highman, three sisters, Roxie Clements, Helen Ownby, and Jean Hutson and two brothers, Norval and Ira DeWeese. Ruth worked at Commercial Filters and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Cannelton. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and gardening. She is survived by one sister Shirley Hale of Yukon, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be Monday, December 19, 2005 at 11:00 AM EST at Lilly Dale Cemetery in Gatchel. Huber Funeral Home-Cannelton Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Dea Goad will officiate.
