Ruth Guillaum

Cannelton, Indiana - Ruth Guillaum, 88, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She was born in Cannelton on July 4, 1925. Her parents were the late Milson and Audrey (Newman) Futterer. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Kendall. Ruth was a 1943 graduate of Cannelton High School. She married her soul mate, Bill Guillaum, on October 19, 1945, San Antonio, Texas. She lost the love of her life on April 28, 1996. A homemaker, she was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and St. John's Women's Guild. A loving caregiver for her family, she enjoyed playing bridge, dancing, music and old movies. Besides her family, she treasured nothing more than caring for her dogs. Surviving are her daughter, Mindy Weaver (Nelson), Princeton, Kentucky; son, David Guillaum (Tresa), Boonville; grandchildren, Amanda Dean, Cassie Ruth Guillaum, Julie Guillaum, Joe Bill Schirtzinger and John Luke Schirtzinger; great grandchildren, Kinsley Dean and Levi Dean. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2013, at St. John's United Church of Christ with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday and from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Friday at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Rev. Mike Thompson will officiate.
