Tell City, Indiana Ruth P. Dixon, 85, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. Ruth was born November 10, 1923 in Perry County, daughter of the late John L. and Margie C. (Aders) Mills. Also preceding her in death was her husband Otis Dixon, twin great grandchildren, Trenton Michael and Morgan Taylor Flamion, brothers, George, Norman, Walter, Albert Jacob, Henry, August and Charles Mills and a sister Frances Mills in infancy. She married Otis Dixon February 26, 1942 in Tell City, Indiana. He passed away in 2007. Ruth worked at General Electric for 20 years and along with her husband and son owned and operated Dixon's Flower Shop in Tell City for 21 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tell City, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #272 and American Legion Auxiliary Post # 213. Ruth enjoyed gardening, knitting and canning from her garden. Ruth is survived by: 4 Sons James E. Dixon and his wife Louise, Tell City, Indiana Jerry A. Dixon and his wife Karen, Tell City, Indiana Roger L. Dixon and his wife Patty, Tell City, Indiana Delbert Wayne Dixon, Tell City, Indiana 5 Grandchildren Kevin Dixon, Katrina Flamion, Kristina Gayer, Stephanie Lindsey and Connie Jo Dixon 11 Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Ronald Willis will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home where the Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 272 will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 272, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer's Association.
