Russell Sims

Russell "Tom" Sims, 72 of New Albany, IN, passed away on October 10, 2014 in Clarksville, IN. Tom was a veteran of the Marine Corps (Vietnam), a former Sellersburg police officer and later in life a substance abuse counselor. He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Kebe" Sims of Derby, IN and Eileen (Thomas) Sims of Sellersburg, IN, and his sister Charlotte Ann Sims. He is survived by 3 children, Dawn Sims of Brandenburg, KY, Glen Fondren, New Albany, IN and Shaun Sims, Evans, GA; his 2 brothers, Bill of Louisville, KY and Denny (Robbie) of New Albany, IN and his sister, Earlene (David Duggins) of Sellersburg, IN; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Private services were held at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City, IN with internment at Derby Cemetery, Derby, IN.
