Russell Bolin

Cannelton, Indiana - Russell L. Bolin, 62, passed away on August 13, 2015, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born December 5, 1952, in Evansville. His father was the late Norman Bolin. His mother, Laura (Russell) Burden survives him. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Bolin in 1995. Russell married Charlene Widmer on January 25, 1975, at St. Paul Catholic Church. He retired in May, 2015 after working at Cannelton Elementary School for over forty years as a custodian. He was well loved by students and staff and always knew how to put a smile on your face. His life may have ended too soon, but he always lived his life to its fullest. Russell enjoyed motorcycle trips with his wife and friends, and going on cruises. Surviving are his wife, Charlene, Cannelton; son, Brian Bolin, Evansville; mother, Laura Burden, Cannelton; sister, Rita Polen, Sylacauga, Alabama; brother, Denny Bolin, Cannelton; step brother, Terry Burden, Tell City and a granddaughter, Maya Bolin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Eugene Bolin will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Saturday and from 11:00 AM until service time on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Cannelton Elementary School PTO or St. Michael Catholic Church Fish Fry.
