Ruby Dixon

Ruby M. Dixon, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Brickyard Healthcare Center, Lincoln Hills. She was born in Leopold on September 14, 1931, daughter of Maurice and Marguerite (Guillaume) Riat. Ruby married Franklin Dixon, Jr. on October 18, 1947. She retired from General Electric in 1988 after many years of service. Ruby was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. She liked to read and crochet and enjoyed NASCAR, watching Colts and Notre Dame football and I.U. basketball. Surviving are her children, Barbara Dixon, Bristow, Lena Harper (Darrell), Tell City and Michael Dixon, Evansville; grandchildren, Eugene Alvey, Jr. (Tamie), Jennifer Sitzman (Clayton, Deceased), Kimberly Bailey (Joe), Chad Harper (Lori) and Machele Staehler; several great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Her parents, husband and siblings, Charles Riat, Maurice Riat, Mary Agnes Hartz and Margaret Sims preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CDT on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Deacon Ken Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Eye Institute.
