Roy Smith

Tell City, Indiana Roy L. Smith, 86, passed away August 6, 2014 at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills. He was born in Perry County, June 26, 1928 son of the late Clyde and Edna (Popp) Smith. Also preceding him in death were his wife Minnie Marie (Hall) Smith, son, Gary Smith, daughter, Carolyn Schraner, brothers, Clyde Smith, Jr. and Donnie Smith, sisters, Marjorie Hall and Linda Seifert. He was a fleet mechanic for Holland Dairy and was formerly a Perry County Deputy Sheriff. Roy enjoyed country music. Roy is survived by his daughter; Rosalie Nelson (Mike), Tell City; son, Alan Smith, Marengo; companion, Janet Laws; 6 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Carr Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Carr Cemetery.
