Roy Graham

Roy A. Graham, 86, of Millstone, died Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Oakwood Health Campus. Roy was born November 23, 1936 in Cannelton to the late Roy W. and Hazel (Gilbert) Graham. After graduating, Roy served in the United States Army. On April 25, 1959 at Millstone Methodist Church, Roy married LaVeta Powers. Roy lived a life devoted to his family, hard work, and the community. He retired in 1998 from Commonwealth, a job he started in 1969. A man of loyalty and commitment, Roy worked at Tell City Chair Company for eleven years, enjoyed working puzzles for fun, hunting, and spending meaningful moments with his grandchildren and family. You could also find Roy watching westerns and listening to country and gospel music. Roy was also a member of Tell City First Church of the Nazarene. Those left to cherish Roy's memory are his wife of 64 years, LaVeta Graham; two sons, Steven (Lisa) Graham of Tell City and Daniel Graham of Petersburg, IN; three grandchildren, Heather (Joe) Burger, Jennifer (Mike) Litherland, and Robbie Graham; two great-grandchildren Jordan Gray and Natalie Scruggs; brothers, Jim (Opal) Graham of Tell City, and Lee (Debbie) Graham of Indianapolis. Roy is preceded in death by a brother, Bill Graham and a sister, Ruth Graham. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City with Pastors Keith Messick and Mike Johnson. Burial will follow in Simons Cemetery in Tobinsport, IN. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2023 and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday May 6, 2023 at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Oakwood Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Tell City First Church of the Nazarene or Tobinsport Cemetery Association.
