Rosemary Weatherholt

Cannelton, Indiana - Rosemary A. Weatherholt, 93, passed away on March 29, 2023. She was born in Cannelton on October 11, 1929 to Edward Forest and Mary Theresa (Schwartz) Gunn. Rosemary retired as an LPN from Apple Creek State Hospital in Apple Creek, Ohio and had also worked at Massillon State Hospital in Massillon, Ohio for several years. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church where she played the organ for over 30 years. Rosemary sang for the Tell City Chorus and was so proud to be part of The Messiah. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ralph, researching genealogy. Rosemary also liked to share family and Perry County history and pictures of people and places from the past. Many friends will remember her waving as she would take daily drives to the Millstone area for which she held close to her heart. Surviving is her daughter, Kathy Reisling (Oscar), Cannelton; grandchildren, David Masters (Brandi Jo) and Melissa Reisling (Brian Marks); great grandchildren, Kayla Wolfe, Cameron Masters and Oscar Reisling and a brother, David Gunn (Galena) of North Carolina. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Millstone Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Freewill Baptist Church or Millstone Cemetery.
