Rosemary Lagrange

March 5, 1917 — July 3, 2014

Rosemary LaGrange, 97, formerly of St. Croix, passed away at 1:45 PM on July 3, 2014, at Brookside Village in Jasper. She was born near Branchville, Indiana, on March 5, 1917, the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Carmickle) Saddler. Preceding her in death, besides her parents, were her sister, Becky Hood, her brother Dallis Saddler and her husband, Clyde Lagrange. Rosemary graduated from Oil Township High School, later marrying Clyde LaGrange on June 2, 1938, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold. He passed away in July of 2011. She and her husband owned and operated a grocery store/gas station in St. Croix for 30 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in St. Croix, where she was active for many years in various capacities. In later years she resided in Jasper. She was a fan of IU basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals. Surviving are her son Larry Lagrange (Jenny), Jasper; grandsons, Nathan Lagrange (Tricia), Indianapolis; Aaron Lagrange (Sarah), Spencer and Justin Lagrange (Megan), Evansville. She had six great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM CDT on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. Brian Esarey officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. There will be visitation from 9:30 AM until service at the church. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
