Branchville, Indiana - Roseanna Louise Gibson, 87, passed away peacefully December 11, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Tell City surrounded by her loving family. She was born near Jubin Creek in Branchville, Indiana on September 22, 1930 to the late George Edwin Saddler and Ruth Jane (Saalman) Saddler. She was also preceded in death by stepmother Nola (Edwards) Saddler; son Thomas Allen Gibson; sisters, Iola Ransom and Bernice Sims; and brothers, Edwin and Paul Saddler. Rosanna was known for her beautiful smile, her big heart, and her deep love for her family and friends. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, reading, listening to her family play music, and working with her beloved husband on their Branchville farm where they lived for 64 years. Rose was happiest when she was with her many friends and family, or when holding a grandchild or great-grandchild on her lap in her favorite rocking chair. Her spirit, energy and love will live on in the family she has treasured. Surviving is her husband of over 70 years, Robert August Gibson of Branchville; sons James (Ingrid) Gibson of Guntersville, AL, Donald (Marilyn) Gibson of Leopold, William (Glenda) Gibson of Deer Creek, Patrick (Karin) Gibson of St. Croix; daughters, Rebecca Rose (Stephen) Sprinkle of Bedford, and Ruthie (John) Etienne of Leopold; fifteen grandchildren, Christoph (Meredith) Gibson, Katharina (David) Reichert, Kendrick (Sara) Gibson, Angela (Ray) Tuohy, Natalie (Quinton) Fulton, Amy (Jeremy) Etienne, William (Michelle) Gibson, Tricia (Austin) Malone, Chelsea (Matt) Wronowicz, Jody (Lloyd) Arnold, Jamie (Jon) Munro, Dreama (Dean) Reed, Darrin (Macee) Reed, Mackenzie Etienne, and Nicholas Etienne; twenty one great-grandchildren;, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. CST on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rev. Brian Esarey will officiate. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00-7:00 P.M. and Saturday 8:00-9:00 A.M. at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Walker Cemetery - Branchville, Indiana.
