Tell City, Indiana Rose A. Parr, 72, passed away December 8, 2014 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Derby, March 30, 1942, daughter of the late Robert and Lydia (Hanks) Smith. Rose was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Aders. Rose was a 1960 graduate of Dale High School. She was united in marriage on February 10, 1960 to George E. Parr, Sr., who survives. Rose was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George E. Parr, Sr.; daughters, Brenda McDaniel, Tell City, Gayle Stepro, Newtonville, Angie Moseby, Troy and Tessy Henderson, Tell City; sons, George E. Parr, Jr., Tell City, Daryl Parr, Jasper, Ray Parr, Tell City and Danny Parr, Niles, Michigan; sister, Mary Sue Tuley, Dale; 29 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville. Bro. Joe Simpson will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh Street Baptist Church or New Hope Cemetery.
