Tell City, Indiana Rosalie A. Henning, 84, of Tell City passed away Sunday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Rosalie was born in Perry County, Indiana on August 19, 1929, daughter of the late John Amos and Sally Kessner Amos. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Walter and Robert Amos, and sisters, Ruth Hinton, Helen Miller and Joyce Mulzer. She was a 1947 graduate of Tell City High School; on November 26, 1950 she was united in marriage to Herman Henning at Evangelical United Church of Christ, where they maintained their membership to the present. Rosalie was an employee of General Electric until 1984 when a stroke forced her retirement. She enjoyed her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Rosalie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Herman "Bud" Henning, her sons, Gary Genet, Kennesaw, Georgia, David Henning (Boyet Stevens), Mason, Ohio and daughter, Rhea Gehlhausen, Tell City, her sister, Carolyn Walters, Tell City, seven grandchildren, Logan and Brooks Genet, Elizabeth and Jack Henning, Chad, Seth and Adam Gehlhausen, and one great grandson, Hank Gehlhausen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana with Pastor J. T. Hills officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery will follow. Visitation is from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ.
