Rosa Powers

Millstone, Indiana Rosa M. Powers, 93, passed away January 25, 2018 at The Waters in Huntingburg. She was born October 1, 1924 in Boonville, daughter of the late Cyril and Rose Ella (VanHoosier) Powers. Rosa had worked at the shipyard in Evansville during WWII, then at Woodcrafters in Tell City where she retired in 1986. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening and being outdoors. She is survived by two sisters, Iola Morton, Tell City and LaVeta Graham, Tobinsport and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel with burial in Simon Cemetery in Tobinsport. Pastor Charles Areson will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
