Ronald Thomas

Boonville, Indiana - Ronald L. "Ronnie" Thomas, 65, passed away April 19, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born January 24, 1949, in Tell City, son of the late Oliver Thomas and Verna Lee (Bolin) Thomas Renfro. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Billy Thomas. A U.S. Army veteran, Ronnie was a member of Chestnut Grove Church of Jesus Christ. He was united in marriage to Janice Kay Russell December 2, 1967, who survives. Ronnie had worked construction for Blankenberger Brothers in Cynthiana. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and going to yard sales and flea markets. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janice Thomas; son, Scott Thomas (Michelle), Newburgh; daughter, Pam Hall (Scott), Loogootee; sisters, Vicky Best, Huntingburg, Linda Reed (Russell), Cannelton and Salome Lamarche, Evansville; brothers, Terry Thomas (Rose), Cannelton, Gary Thomas, Tobinsport, Johnny Thomas (Jennie), Cannelton, and Danny Thomas, Cannelton; five grandchildren, Kristopher, Brittani and Kaitlin Thomas, Kristan and Kylie Hall. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Evansville First Church of Nazarene, 8100 Newburgh Avenue, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Hatfield. Rev. Dan Caldwell will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Chestnut Grove Church.
