Rod Lamb

November 29, 1931 — January 5, 2023

Cannelton, Indiana - Rodney E. Lamb, 91, passed away at his home on January 5, 2023. He was born in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, on November 29, 1931, the son of Earl and Tina (Slaton) Lamb. A United States Marine Corps veteran, Rod received a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and, after many years, retired as general manager from Can-Tex Industries, where he continued doing consulting work after retirement. In the mid-1980s, Rod became an owner of Environmental Service & Supply. In his later years, he turned many of those duties over to his son, Steve, often working alongside him. He and his wife of 65 years, enjoyed spending time with their family and friends on the river, boating almost every weekend. Later in life, Rod and Flo spent their retirement years in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where they could continue their love of being near the water but always looked forward to the warmer months in Cannelton, where they could spend time with their children and grandchildren. Surviving Rod is his wife, Flo Lamb; children, Teresa Kuster (Brian), Fort Myers Beach, Florida, and Steve Lamb (Michelle), Tell City; daughter-in- law, Glenda Stone, Newburgh; grandchildren, Ashlee Neighbors (Randy), Jace Stone (Shannon), Nic Stone (Laura), Tyler Stone (Christina), Kacie Stone, Halee Rugenstein (Joe) and Maggie Lamb and several great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, sister, Connie, and son, Darrell Stone. Funeral services will be private, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, is assisting his family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to a local VFW or American Legion of your choice.
