Robert Powers

Tell City, Indiana Robert B. "Bobby" Powers, 64, passed away August 17, 2016 at his home. He was born April 10, 1952 in Cairo, IL, son of the late Robert E. and Mary Ida (Robson) Powers. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Richard "Dickie" Powers. A U.S. Navy veteran, Bobby was united in marriage to Barbara Lynn Seibert on July 1, 1995 at the First United Methodist Church. He had worked at Heartland Villa Nursing Home and enjoyed model airplanes, antiques and spending time with his grandchildren. Bobby is survived by his wife of 21 years, Barbara Powers; children, Marievelyn Powers, Ryan Powers (Jennifer) and Justin Powers, all of Ferdinand; step-children, Allen Walker, Chrisney, and Deanna Harmon, Huntingburg; sister, Kim Ball, Cannelton; brother, Kelly Powers, Tell City; two grandchildren, Ian Powers and Isaac Powers. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in New Cliff Cemetery, where there will be military graveside rites conducted. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
