Robert James

Tell City, Indiana Robert E. James, 69, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was born August 30, 1943 son of the late Kenneth and Rebecca (Alvey) James. Also preceding him in death was his first wife, Sue (Jellison) James, son, Robert E. James, Jr., in infancy, and a brother, Wayne James. He was united in marriage to Onna Epley May 30, 1997 at Bethel Baptist Church near Winslow. Robert had worked as a security guard at St. Meinrad Archabbey, attended Walnut Grove Christian Church in Salem, enjoyed the outdoors and his dogs. Robert is survived by his wife Onna; daughters, Pam Sweeney, New Albany and Shannon Cox, Rockport; sisters, Carol Kleaving, Joy Howell, both of Tell City, and Patty Shelton, Alton; brothers, Richard James, Derby, Bill James, Tell City, and Denny James, Rome; grandchildren, Zachary James, Nathan, Dillon and Diamond Cox. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday and from 10:00AM until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Walnut Grove Christian Church.
