Mount Pleasant, Indiana - Robert W. Cooley, 53, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 17, 1958, son of the late Bobby Ray Cooley and Maurine (Asher) Cooley, who survives him. Also preceding him in death was a son, Robert W. Cooley II and his sisters, Debrah Stein and Donna Wiles. For 25 years, Robert was employed by the State of Indiana where he was currently working in Homeland Security. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Surviving him are his wife, Teresa (Williams) Cooley; sons, Ray Cooley, Clarksville and Josh Cooley, New Albany; mother, Maurine Cooley, Jeffersonville; brother, Randall Cooley, Newburgh and grandchildren, Robert and Arianna Cooley and Joey and Ethan Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Deer Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery where there will be military rites. Rev. Dr. Elmer Shelby will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 until 10:30 on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City. Memorial contributions may be made to Deer Creek Baptist Church.
