Robert A. “Rob” Cronin, 55, passed away on December 14, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 2, 1968 to Robert E. “Bob” and Geraldine (Dawson) Cronin
.
Rob was a 1986 graduate of Perry Central High School and had previously worked for Phil Etienne’s Sawmill, Mulzer’s Quarry and Kimball International. He was united in marriage on May 24, 1994 to Deborah Hays.
He enjoyed cars, especially his 1970 Cuda’, boating on the weekends and catering for weddings and graduations. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife, Deborah Cronin of Gatchel; his parents, Bob and Geraldine Cronin of Gatchel; his children, Troy Cronin (Cassandra) of Branchville, Brittene Goffinet (Justin Flamion) of Dale, Trent Cronin (Lacey McDonald) of Leopold and Cassie Cronin (D.J. Johnson) of Hawesville, KY ; his sister, Kim Franchville (Scott) of Derby; grandchildren, Madelyn and Ashlyn Cronin, Owen and Haley Flamion, Sawyer and Emmett Cronin, King and Dawson Johnson; nephews, Ryan Franchville (Ariel) and their son, Waylon, Tyler Franchville (Alyssa) and their children, Zane and Randalyn Franchville and Evan Franchville.
Rob is preceded in death by his son, Travis Cronin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Lilly Dale Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 3:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association.
