Tell City, Indiana Richard J. "Dickie" Powers, 61, passed away June 17, 2015. He was born February 26, 1954 in Tell City, Indiana, son of the late Robert E. and Mary Ida (Robson) Powers. Also preceding him in death was a grandson Cane Michael in infancy. A 1972 graduate of Cannelton High School, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Dickie was united in marriage May 17, 1975 to Anne Coon at the First United Methodist Church in Cannelton. He had been a member of Indiana National Guard and had worked at Golden Living Center. Dickie enjoyed drawing and collecting various items, such as guns, baseball cards, autographs, history memorabilia, antiques, pottery and glassware. Dickie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anne Powers; daughter, Sami Powers, Tell City; son, Brandon Powers, Tell City; sister, Kim Ball, Cannelton; brothers, Bobby Powers (Barb) and Kelly Powers, both of Tell City; three grandchildren, Nicholas Powers, McKenzie Loper and Wyatt Powers. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Bro. Jack Masterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be to American Diabetes Association.
