Tell City, Indiana Rebecca Ann "Becky" Appiarius, 65, passed away May 21, 2020 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Perry County, Indiana on April 7, 1955 to the late Irvin and Mary (Durbin) Bernardi. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Gene Appiarius, a sister Ida Dell James and brothers, Junior Bernardi and Gar Terry. Becky was well known for having worked as a cashier for several years at the Lickety Split/Shell Station in Tell City. Many people would pop in just to visit with her. She was a member of V.F.W. Post #2939 and the Cannelton American Legion Harry G. Myers Post #142. Becky loved bingo, going to the casino, playing euchre, singing karaoke and being with family and friends, especially her fur grandbabies. Surviving are her children, Caroline Johnson (Scott), Tell City and Bobbi Jo Ridener (Jeff -"Pooh"), Branchville; companion, Ron Hines, Kentucky; grandchildren, Bryce Ridener (Whitney Hulsman) and Bailee Jo Johnson; step grandchildren, Bryan Johnson, Amanda Ertel and Eric Johnson; sisters, Mary Little (Bob), Tell City, Sue Smith, Cannelton and Faye Carlson (Ron), Tell City and a brother, Fred Bernardi (Brenda), Cannelton. Becky always remained best friends with her first husband, the late Dallas Duke. Before having their own children, she was blessed with her "bonus" children, Julie Cronin (Rick), LeeAnna Greider (Bill), Darlene Myhre (Don), Glenn Duke (Chuckie) and the late Donnie Duke and his surviving spouse, Norene Duke and several "bonus" grandchildren to enjoy. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 6:00 PM CDT at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from noon until 6:00 PM. According to current COVID-19 restrictions, services will be limited to 100 people, with social distancing rules applied. In lieu of flowers, Becky's request was to go live life, enjoy it, go out to dinner, visit the casino, go dancing or just do what makes you happy.
